The Kuzoku group of filmmakers’ first video installation An alternative story of “Bangkok Nites”
In this exhibition, the Kuzoku collective of filmmakers unveil their brand new video installation.
The work on display is a new video installation that illustrates the journey across Thai and Laos of the protagonist in Kuzoku’s new feature-length movie “Bangkok Nites” in rearranged images and from alternative angles. Through pictures of major cities that appear in the videos, the work sheds light on the historical backgrounds of Thai and Laos that couldn’t be fully portrayed in the movie, including the Vietnam War and other chapters in the history of wars in Southeast Asia.
