Melanie HOFF

Artist / Educator

Melanie Hoff is an artist and educator examining the role technology plays in social organization and reinforcing hegemonic structures. Their work distorts conventions of socio technical platforms through software, installation, and experimental workshops. They are a founding member of the Cybernetics Library and Soft Surplus, teach at Rutgers University, the School for Poetic Computation, and has presented their work in various conferences and museums including the New Museum, the Queens Museum, Telfair Art Museum, The Internet Archive, Pioneer Works, and elsewhere. Their work has been featured in the New York Times, Huffington Post, Radiolab, Fast Company, Vice, among others.
