Jane FRIEDHOFF

Game Developer / Creative Coder

Jane is a riot grrrl game developer and interdisciplinary creative coder, intent on blurring the lines between as many media and genres as she can. Her work focuses on how we can push the affordances of a given medium--new or old, digital or analog--to create new, surprising, and joyous relationships between people. Jane received her MFA in Design and Technology from Parsons, and has since worked as a creative technologist at places like The New York Times R&D Lab, The Office for Creative Research, and the Google Creative Lab. She is a member of the Death By Audio Arcade Collective, a non-profit that fosters local independent arcade culture, and she also co-founded the Code Liberation Foundation, an organization that provides free and low-cost game design courses for women and non-binary people of all experience levels.
