One performer exploring the roots of theater in an international coproduction
This new stage production is realized in collaboration with the Sibiu International Theatre Festival in Romania.
Marin Sorescu’s one-man play “Jonah” is performed by Kuranosuke Sasaki, in a rendition of the great Romanian director Silviu Purcarete. The story is based on the adventure of the biblical figure Jonah, who was swallowed by a giant fish and lived in its belly for three days and three nights before returning to the outside world. The performance reflects a new approach to theater while at once returning to its origins.
