Group of Artists

Started operating in 2000. In the same year, produced the video piece "ikisyon 1" on pilgrims in Shikoku. Went on to create and exhibit numerous video, installation and performance pieces in Japan and abroad. Main works include the installation piece "ikisyon 10" including live screenings of 100-yen objects filmed with a surveillance camera; "ikisyon 12", a sculpture using a "magic mirror" effect of a mirror image that isn't supposed to be there but appears as a shadow out of the reflected light; the installation piece "ikisyon 13" that utilizes a rotating mirror to function like a prism that disperses video images from a DLP projector, and others. Participated in numerous exhibitions including among others "Nam June Paik Award" (Cologne, 2006), the Yohohama Triennale 2005, "Rock the Future" (FACT, Liverpool, 2005), Ars Electronica (Linz, 2004), "n_ext: New Generation of Media Artists" (ICC, Tokyo, 2004), "In Media Sockets: Realities brimming over media sockets" (Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media [YCAM], 2003).
