Iori NAKAI

Sound Artist / Bussinessperson

Born 1980 in Kyoto. Impressed by (music created using) synthesizers and other electronic musical instruments since his days at junior high school, began to produce music, and create and exhibit works of interactive art. Won a prize for best work at the NHK BS program "Digital Stadium" in 2002, and received an Honorary Mention at Ars Electronica in 2003. Next to his activities as an artist, set up Office CONCRETE Inc. in 2006. Based in Nagoya, Aichi, the company offers support in the fields of online advertising and branding for various types of businesses mainly in the Tokai region, under the corporate motto "circulation design for human minds and emotions". Started working on the development of original business models in 2012, implemented in such niche industries as clock repair, bag repair, "thank you" gift sales, etc. A restaurant in Nagoya, Aichi, is presently in preparation. Also teaches at a nursing school. Hobby: cars.
