The specific aim of this form is to foster collaborative research and development projects involving art centers, theaters or other organizations which are engaged in artistic creation and which offer in-residence opportunities for artists and engineers to come together to research advanced topics, the results of which are shared openly (i.e., disclosed publicly with an open license allowing free usage within certain constraints by anyone) so that others can be encouraged to come up with further derivatives and developments. This form is intended to facilitate the creation of such a project framework and at the same time allow as many people as possible the opportunity to utilize and alter the actual source code to produce derivative works.
