YCAM Concert Series "sound tectonics"
Sound art as a manifestation of originality: a station on YCAM's pursuit of new expression and technique
Since its opening, YCAM has been exploring the original expressive potential of electronic music and sound art. When focusing on the usage of media technology not only in video and other forms of visual expression, but especially also on its function in the realm of sound, we can perceive acoustically temporal and spatial qualities that haven't previously existed in art. It has been our mission to explore possible new forms of artistic expression that emerge when reevaluating the human senses of vision, hearing and touch on an equal basis.
